You can also replace some of the ground nuts in the shortbread with hulled hemp seeds for an extra dose of valuable omega-3 fats. For an exotic touch, you can also replace the butter in the recipe with coconut oil.

Ingredients for hemp Linzerschnitten

  • 200 g butter
  • 180 g raw sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • Cloves Cinnamon, lemon peel, vanilla
  • 150 g spelt flour
  • 50 g Hemp Protein High Fiber
  • 200 g nuts, ground
  • 50g spelt breadcrumbs / breadcrumbs
  • 50g currant jam
  • 3 TBSP. Hulled hemp seeds for sprinkling
  • Egg for brushing

  4. Pipe a grid with the piping bag and the remaining batter
  5. Brush the grid with egg and sprinkle with hemp seeds
  6. Finally bake at 160° for 45 min

Tip:

By the way, you can also sprinkle the hemp Linzerschnitte with unhulled hemp seeds for a special crunchy experience. During baking, the hemp seeds are roasted and become nice and crispy.
